Several CATPRO product lines utilize conveyors to transport substrates through the inspection systems. In a CATPRO system, the conveyor is more than just a mechanism to transport a part from point A to point B. The conveyor is the means by which we present the part to the camera system for inspection, and as such the demands on that system are much greater than the typical conveyor user. Over years of development, MiraLogix has found that part transport is a key enabling technology that must be engineered to exacting standards when applied to an inspection system. The conveyor systems that are used in CATPRO systems are the best quality conveyors that can be obtained, and are customized after acquisition by MiraLogix engineers to increase their ability to transport parts past the cameras with an absolute minimum of unwanted motion. In cases where a specific application demands a transport mechanism that cannot be obtained commercially, conveyor systems custom designed and constructed by MiraLogix engineers are implemented in the system.

In addition to the conveyors that are used in the inspection system, conveyors are often utilized to transport product into and out of the inspection system. MiraLogix offers a number of part transport solutions for performing these tasks.

Diverter Module
When used in-line with a CATPRO inspection system, the diverter module allows for automated rejection of failed parts and completes a fully automated solution for part inspection. The diverter is designed as a robust and long lasting system to perform this task at high rates and without the risk of part damage that is inherent to many reject mechanisms.

The same technology can be applied to many other applications, including combining the output of two conveyor lines into one, and splitting the output of a single conveyor line into multiple lanes. MiraLogix offers designs that address all of these possibilities while maintaining the highest design and construction standards.

Infeed and Outfeed Conveyor Systems
The CATPRO system has built in capability for interfacing with infeed and outfeed conveyors in such a way that overflow situations are avoided. Each outfeed conveyor has a “Lane Full” sensor input that disables the output of parts onto that conveyor until space is made available for more product.
